Introduction

JSHint is a popular, community-driven tool to detect errors and potential problems in JavaScript code.

This project integrates JSHint into the NetBeans.

It automatically validates files ending with "js" and adds warning markers and action items for every problem found by JSHint using ".jshintrc" configuration files from project directories.

JSHint 2.9.4 included.

.jshintrc not used

No matter where you put .jshintrc, it will never be taken into account, and the default config is unusable because it founds tons of false positive (even on commented lines).
On the contrary, the unused variables, are never spotted (and that's was I was only interested in).

How to pick up .jshintrc from parent directories?

I added one in parent directory to no effect...

Where does the default .jshintrc file live?

I want to change it but cannot find it anywhere on Windows 10?

Thanks!
