Works also in 8.2

I tried to install in Netbeans 8.2, works nicely. Much needed plugin, worth polishing some reported issues and become part of Netbeans by default!

Make it part of NetBeans by default

Amazining plugin! Please make it part of next NetBeans version.

Ready for 8.1.

Hi users of this plugin. You're now able to use this in 8.1. It has the same imperfections as before. However, if you simply want to be able to navigate into a multi-modular Maven structure, this is a handy plugin to use.

Same issue as ionuion

I have the same problem with select in project. Would be nice to not open the extra module as a project. I expect that the project hierarchy will be expanded and select the file.

Select in Projects not integrated

This is a long awaited feature. Thanks for implementing it.
A suggestion for improvement follows.

having the following maven project hierarchy:

Open a file from Child 2, say File21
While in the editor having File21 open right click on the file tab and select 'Select in Projects' or use the shortcut Ctrl-Shift-1

The file is selected in the hierarchical view accordingly, as it is available for that purpose

Actual result:
A Confirm Open Project window is displayed, asking that the project be opened outside the hierarchical view.

It seems the Select in Projects functionality only works with the flatbed projects.

Thank you

It can be turned on/off... enabling/disabling the module in the same place where you installed it, so that's easy.

Nice, but

Nice discovery. My only regret is that it removes (hides) intermediate Maven project hierarchies and that it cannot be turned on/off from the context menu of the project explorer.

I also think is not necessary to get access to project that are among the dependencies of a project. At least this should be configurable via Options.

Many thanks

Thanks a lot! :)

7.4 version of this plugin is now available.

Spread the news!

I would like to have it also in NB 7.4

I feel very much the lack of this plugin for netbeans 7.4 :(
I think it should be added directly in the netbeans default distribution with an option to choose which kind of view the user prefers.

Works on 7.3.1

Works perfectly in Netbeans 7.3.1. Thanks a lot, been waiting for this function a long time! Now the only thing I'm still missing is a window with selectable maven targets...

I've never said it works for 7.3.

I've never said it works for 7.3. Not tried it there myself and I didn't develop it for 7.3.

Does not work on 7.3

This plugin does not work on 7.3.

My first project gets children projects from other maven projects.

NetBeans IDE 7.3 (Build 201302132200)

Also for maven projects which have sub-projects in sub-projects, the hierarchy is lost. All projects no matter the level are all added to the first level.

   |- Cat
      |- Maine Coon
      |- Siamese
   |- Horse
      |- Mustang
      |- Peruvian

Would appear as

   |- Maine Coon
   |- Siamese
   |- Mustang
   |- Peruvian

As popular as maven is I am surprised and disappointed this functionality is not built into NetBeans.

Works on NetBeans 7.3

I've tried this on NetBeans IDE 7.3 (Build 201302132200) and it works perfectly.

It would be great if this plugin was part of the IDE by default and you could toggle it on and off by right-clicking the Project View.
