Introduction

About

Provides Ukrainian word lists for use in the online spellchecker : uk_UA (Ukrainian only), uk (Ukrainian with English).

They are based on expanded GNU Aspell 0.60.7 dictionaries and contain ~115 707 worlds and they affixes.

Packaged and tested with NetBeans 7.2, and will works with JRE1.7.x and JRE1.6.x too.

How to install and use

1. Download and install the plugin. You must have the "Spellchecker" already installed
2. In the NetBeans Spellchecker options panel, select one of the Ukrainian locales : "uk" (for Ukrainian and English words ) or "uk_UA" (for Ukrainian words only)
3. Return to the code editor, type a letter and save (in order to wake up the spellchecker, only), and wait : your CPU will work for some minutes because it is caching the dictionary. You can go to your ".netbeans\7.0\var\cache\dict" folder and see if the corresponding ".trie1" or ".trie2" ("dictionary_uk.trie1" [about ~ 26,1 MB] for the "uk" locale or "dictionary_uk_UA.trie1" [about ~ 22,3 MB] for the "uk_UA" locale) file has been created.
4. When the ".trie1" is finished, and the CPU load is not at 100%, it is OK : the dictionary has been correctly cached, and you can use the spellchecker !

Known issues :

• If you uninstall or update the dictionary plugin, the ".trie1" (or ".trie2") files won't be deleted automatically
