Introduction

This plug is simply a missing part of the netbeans php package. That is the Php online manual search. Put the cursor on any php function and click on the toolbar php icon or press Ctrl+Alt+F1 and the online manual page of that function will show in your web browser. If you are using the netbeans version 6.8 M1, that includes an internal web browser (embedded mozilla), the page will show in there. I hope you Php developers will like this plugin. Its my first java work and i have done it in 3 hours, 30 minutes to write code and 2 hours and a half to find what i needed in old online java documentations. I also hope that this will be the first and last version of this plugin because i would like to see this functionality in the netbeans php package.

What's new in this version

- here ya go, i had some free time today, so i decided to update my plugin to work with nb 7.0.
- Recompiled for the 6.7.1 version. Now it should work.
- Made the php searches on www.php.net/??? instead of www.php.net/manual/???. now it should search for all php functions and words. Also if you call the plugin while the cursor is not on any word, the www.php.net/manual will be called.

Not working anymore

Hi salc,

Looks like it has stopped working again in Netbeans 7.0.1 .

Look forward to this being corrected as otherwise it is a great timesaver.

Thanks in advance.

Ctrl+Alt+F1

You can always reassign the keys in netbeans options.

Ctrl+Alt+F1 is bad for Linux!!!

It will kill your X session... you should use a different default instead of Ctrl+Alt+F1

Version for NetBeans 6.9.1

Hello, because i managed to rebuild this great plugin to make it work with NetBeans 6.9.1, as a total rookie in making plugins it has not license, but it is working. I had to decode class file and fix library version to make it work. All rights belongs still to original author.
You can download it on :http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/1/11/625631//PhpManual.zip
or http://www.filefactory.com/file/ca224a1/n/PhpManual.zip

Not installable in NB 6.9

Please update :-)

The plugin Editor Library is requested in version >= 1.38.2.9.2 (release version 1) but only 2.10.1.10.2 (of release version different from 1) was found.

Aha!

And what pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1 might do in Linux?

Very Useful - Excellent Plugin

Every PHP IDE should have this feature. I'm using it on Netbeans 6.8 and I'm quite pleased with the implementation and functionality. I think this is workable replacement for a native function.

6.9M1 support

I guess some dependencies are different now with the new release. I wanted to install this plugin to version 6.9M1, but I get the following message:

"The plugin Editor Library is requested in version >= 1.38.2.9.2 (release version 1) but only 2.2.10.2 (of release version different from 1) was found. ".

If you could update the package to make it work with 6.9M1... that would be great! thanks!

feature request

Will you add some day a way to configure multiple websites where searching for documentation ?
I am interested in adding more PHP search sites and C++ websites for C/C++ documentation.

Not installable in NB 6.7.1

This plugin is not installable with Netbeans 6.7.1 due to plugins and libraries not available in the correct version.
Installation in 6.8M1 work normally.
