Introduction
A module which turns off various popups and minimizes screen real estate waste. Turns off the welcome screen, auto update checking and offers to collect metrics. On non-macintosh platforms, moves the status bar to the top of the screen next to the menu bar. Sets the editor tabs to use boldface instead of appending a * for modified files.

Thanks !
I'm not working on such a big screen, so this is very useful!
I'm curious about how you optimized the real estate. I found several other applications under ubuntu that literally waste real estate. If you can give me some clues on how to manage these empty spaces to reallocate them to the fields that contains real information, that would be very appreciated.
Thx again
