Get A Tan - plugin detailA module for people who don't like black text on white backgrounds, and don't think gray should be the only neutral color in user interfaces. Makes the IDE a little more colorful but easy on the eyes.

This theme is awful - once installed all the text in the menus becomes almost invisible. I had to compare my screen with a colleague's in order to find the right buttons to uninstall it because I couldn't read anything!

Re: Customized color
You'd have to modify the source code - right now the colors are hard-coded. I wrote this plugin simply to set the colors to something I liked, then shared it here after a friend asked me to.
It certainly could be made customizable, but it would take a bit of coding - a lot of the code simply goes through all colors in UIManager.getDefaults() and changes anything white to tan, etc. so you'd want some sort of syntax for transforming colors.

Source codeI use the plugin at work. Thanks for developing this. Is the source code available somewhere ? I am working towards a darker look and feel. It will help me if I could look at the source code. Thanks Venkat

Sensitivity in my eyes.
I'm surprised by what you can do this plugin, because I have sensitivity to the brightness of the screen. Perhaps, for years I have been at your computer ...thank you.
