Alternative
Netbeans 6.5 offers an alternative in the form of "Go To File", similar to "Go To Type", but focusing on Resources, like the Eclipse "Find Resource" window. Go To File is mapped to Alt-Shift-O by default. (I tried to contact the author of this plugin without success.)

show file extension
How hard would it be to add a 'show file extension' option where users can specify the extensions to include. The 'other' option works too, but it gets a lot of junk from my sandbox.
