Remote File System - plugin detail

Allows editing files on remote file systems e.g. FTP, SFTP, etc. This plugin is based on remotefs project in contrib repository of netbeans. I decided to rewrite some parts because it was coupled with FTP implementation. I also added SFTP file system support. Now API is decoupled and ready to write implementation for any file system.

Doesn't work with Netbeans 7.0

Generates an "IllegalArgument" exception as soon as you finish putting the details of the remote entry. I wish the author kept the development, since the Netbeans version reported at the plugin summary is 6.5...

Not working with netbeans 6.8

I tried with netbeans 6.5 and the ftp connections runs ok, and I think it would be very useful maintain this plugin compatible with the new versions of netbeans, I offer my help, it seems to be an incompatibility with the new version of FileSystem api.

Thanks for your great work.

Had to install this plugin twice to get it to work.

Working on Remote File Systems is a common need in web development. The similar Eclipse plugin is very well developed.

initial impressions are very positive of this plugin.

I hope development resumes on this project - remember password, store server key. And that it is added to main plugin repository.

Thank you for building this!

Re: plugin not enabled

Hi, I don't know what do you mean that you can't see any change. Anyway this plugin is available through menu Windows -> Other -> Remote File System.
