bug

yes, maybe it should be a bug that this isn't in netbeans proper?

I second that

Too bloomin' right. Any experienced developer will tell you that dependency management is critical and, well, Ivy works seamlessly on Eclipse. I second seeing this pulled into the mainstream netbeans project.

It doesn't seem to work under the latest NB version (7.1.2 for mac).

Update

I found http://wiki.netbeans.org/FaqIvy and updated for Netbeans 7.1.2 to allow you to use Ivy in netbeans projects. Fairly manual though so would like to see this plugin fixed up.

Important plugin like this should be updated to work with latest Netbeans version

This is a very important plugin and I think Oracle should take ownership and maintain it so that it works with latest Netbeans version.
